Montandon Baptist Church

Committed to Serve Christ, Comissioned to Serve Others

We re still saving soda tabs, despite the fact thatm it was a rumor Geisinger took them to trade for dialysis. However,Ronald McDonald House does take them and turns them into recycling for cash. They do help with rooming costs at the house and are at times able to help with operation costs. http://rmhdanville.org/

My life shall touch a dozen lives
Before this day is done;
Leave countless marks for good or ill
Ere sets this evening sun.
So this the wish I always wish,
The prayer I ever pray:
Let my life help other lives
It touches by the way.

Baptist Children Service's has a new name! Their new doing-business name, BCS YES! Youth Empowered to Succeed became effective in July 2007! They believe the new name honors the Agency's history that began in 1879 as the Baptst Children's Orphange of Philadelphia. it highlight their present-day care of adolescents and teens ages 13-18, and reflects their legal status as a non-profit residential services Agency that accepts at-risk youth regardless of race, religion, national origin, or gender.

BCS YES! affirms their committment to provide the best care possible to the young people we serve. Youth Empowered to Succeed is their signature suite of enrichment programs that produce remarkable results; programs like academic tutoring, basic life skills, computer literacy, and health, fitness and nutrition. The full name is important, as it carries the story of their success with at-risk youth into the New Year.

Dorcas Missionary Society
AKA known in the American Baptist realm as American Baptist Women's Ministry. We invite all women to join us as we serve God's world. We meet every other month from September - May. Our final program is a July picnic. Through fundraising we support above and beyond mission giving in our community and to our missionaries, Love Gift, and White Cross Allocations. We promote, encourage, and support mission-giving through our congregation at Montandon Baptist Church.  Jamie

The Pregnancy Care Center 9 N. 3rd St. Lewisburg,PA 570-524-6872

F.Y.I... The Pregnancy Care Center has changed their name. It is now "Expectation's Women Center".

Many young women who have thoughts of abortion will shy away from a Pregnancy Care Center.

Their mission has remained the same. To Empower Individuals and Transform Lives through the Unconditional Love of Jesus Christ. I will link their Expectation's website to their PCC title. The other active website is www.rupregnantinpa.org

Wycliffe missionaries Dan & Lucia Brubaker are home on furlough from Mail, W. Africa and visited our church on Friday evening,July 31st. They hope to return June 2010 to continue the work on the OT Minyanka translations.

Hey.. Are you planning to clean out your closets soon? Finding old sneakers that you don't want to pay the garbage company to  haul away? I found out HandUP Foundation has a sneaker recycling center. They also take other lightly used clothes, etc... to sell in their store. This is one of our mission outreaches, chosen because the foundation helps people/families that have great losses. If you are interested in what ways old sneakers are used, pleae visit http://www.nikereuseashoe.com/
